a group of experienced real estate professionals
with backgrounds in retail, construction,
finance, legal, land acquisition, due diligence,
brokerage and marketing. Below are brief resumes
for each of the team members.

Kary Kaufman
A principal and partner of the firm, Kary brings
28 years of retail experience, having previously
served in an executive capacity for Real Estate,
Construction, and Maintenance functions for
Herman’s Sporting Goods. Kary
also has a strong background in accounting,
communications and Information Technologies,
having served in these management capacities.
Kary is responsible for Strategic Project Planning
and Initiatives and heads the company’s
practice of financial review and analysis.

Barry Stafford
A principal and founder of the firm, Barry brings over 20 years experience in property and leasehold valuation, real estate transactions and due diligence assignments. Previously, he served as Vice President and Director of Cross & Brown Co., a major full service real estate firm. Barry manages the disposition of distressed and non-core assets for CA clients. By leveraging long-term relationships with key regional brokers and commercial landlords, Barry has successfully disposed of hundreds of leased and owned locations.
A principal and partner of the firm, John is responsible for the coordination of the legal aspects of the due diligence, consulting and asset management/repositioning practices and handles all legal matters for the company. He brings over 25 years of retail and legal experience, having previously headed the legal and real estate departments of Herman's Sporting Goods, Sneaker Stadium, and THE WIZ, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corp. John is a graduate of Villanova University and Seton Hall University School of Law.
Dan joined CA in 1996 and has over 20 years experience in the real estate and construction industry. Previously, Dan was a Construction and Project Manager for a national retailer and two architectural firms. While with CA, Dan uses his project management skills to oversee acquisition due diligence projects, concentrating on the property redevelopment / repositioning and environmental review aspects of the project. Dan also manages leasing(office, warehouse and retail), construction management and development assignments for the Company.
Matthew joined Consolidated full time in 2004 as the company's lead analyst. He has extensive knowledge of financial modeling, including ARGUS®, and plays an integral part of the due diligence and valuation team. Matthew also has years of experience with sophisticated GIS mapping and modeling. He holds a BBA in Finance from Pace University and a MS in Real Estate from New York University.
Robert was president of his own 30 store retail chain. After leaving his retail career, he worked for over 20 years as a retail broker and exclusive consultant to national retailers such as OfficeMax, Trader Joe's, West Marine, Cingular Wireless, GNC, Super Cuts, Kings Supermarkets, The Wiz, and Public Storage. Robert's expertise is in site selection and evaluation as well as deal negotiations.
Joseph Maletz
Joe has over 27 years construction and facilities experience in the retail and commercial construction industry, having previously been the Director of Construction and Facilities for major retailers. During that tenure he was responsible for completion of over 2,000 projects including ground up construction, new store and remodels, acquisition coordination, and facilities management. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.
